Question: What was your favourite moment working in the zoo?

My favourite times in general were after the zoo had closed and only employees were there and you could watch all the animals in piece and quiet. But I think the favourite moment I had was to be allowed to pet a tapir. They are very gentle animals and actually feel quite fluffy. Some amazonian tribes keep them as pets in the way we would keep dogs.
Other than that doing tours with school classes was always really cool because they ask many really interesting questions and they seemed a lot more interested than the adults when I told them about the effects humans had on destroying the environment these animals lived in and what they could do to help.
