I wish I could give you an answer. This is a political question as much as a scientific one. It is a mixture of understanding the Covid19 virus, how efficiently it passed from one person to another, how sick people get when the catch it, how well the population as a whole complies with the government guideline. I think the first two points are reasonably well understood now. It’s the last point that is difficult. Add to this if restrictions are eased and infection rates go back up again it is difficult to bring the restrictions back in again. My thoughts are that you will not go back to school this academic year but I hope that I am wrong. Add into the mix the development of a vaccine or a drug to cure or prevent infection and you will be going back to school much sooner. It’s the uncertainty with is the difficult part. Stay positive it will pass.
