      Thanks for your question! I think it’s because we are always learning and continuing to understand the biological world around us. A career in science can take many forms, and allows us to keep learning and adapting our approaches as we go which is really enjoyable!

      I am naturally curious so I like finding out how things work. I also like that there is always more to discover in science. You really don’t know what is round the corner… just looking back over the last 50 years or so and looking at what we benefit from now compared to back then, all thanks to science (think mobile phones, high-speed internet, treatments for HIV, stem cells, gene editing). Who knows what will be discovered next? A treatment or vaccine for coronavirus would be great!
