I am a Research Scientist and I live in Edinburgh. I am originally from Naples, Italy and I have moved in UK almost 8 years ago and I consider it as my home now. I moved in 2012 for my Master in Caterbury and then I moved to London to work as pharmacist and then I managed to find my first job as Biologist and since then I have never changed it.

I like music mainly classic rock and I love travelling around the world. One of the trip I liked the most was in California. It was my first time outside Europe and I really loved it.

My job is to culture human pluripotent stem cells and I differentiate them in vitro forming a round structure called organoid. This structure in right condition can make spontaneous connections and recreate early stages of brain development. Using organoids in science is very important as you can study different diseases in a different contest than just culturing cells in 2D.
